Billboard printing demands the right combination of high-resolution print quality and durable materials. Mailtronic uses wide-format digital printing technology capable of producing imagery that looks sharp and vibrant even at enormous sizes — because when someone is reading your billboard at 80km/h from 100 metres away, every pixel counts.

Our UV-cured and solvent-based inks are formulated for South African outdoor conditions — resisting UV fading, moisture, and temperature extremes. A well-maintained Mailtronic billboard can retain its colour quality for two years or more under normal outdoor exposure.

We supply billboards as flat-printed vinyls ready for installation by your contractor, or we can advise on attachment solutions. Welded eyelets at standard intervals are included as standard, with reinforced hem welding on request for high-wind installations.

Materials

Solid Vinyl vs Mesh Vinyl

The right material depends on your installation environment. Here's a quick guide to help you choose.

Solid PVC Vinyl

The standard choice for roadside billboards and sheltered or medium-wind environments. Delivers maximum colour density and opacity. Available in 380gsm (standard) and 550gsm (heavy-duty) weights. Best for flat surface mounting and billboard structures with frames.

Mesh / Scrim Vinyl

Perforated vinyl that allows wind to pass through, significantly reducing load on the structure. Ideal for high-rise building wraps, construction hoardings, and rooftop installations where wind loading is a design factor. Slightly lower colour saturation than solid vinyl.

Backlit Film

Translucent film for illuminated billboard structures (lightboxes). Specifically formulated to transmit backlight evenly for consistent brightness across the entire face. Available in standard and wide-gamut colour profiles for maximum vibrancy when lit.
